Ports Related Services

Hongkong International Terminals (HIT)
HIT, situated in Kwai Tsing Container Port, is the flagship company of the HPH Group. HIT is the largest container terminal operator in one of the world's busiest ports with 12 berths at Terminals 4, 6, 7 and 9.

COSCO-HIT Terminals (CHT)
CHT, a 50-50 joint-venture between HIT and COSCO Pacific, operates 2 berths at Terminal 8 (East) at the Kwai Tsing Container Port.

River Trade Terminal (RTT)
RTT handles and consolidates container and break-bulk cargo originating from southern China river ports prior to dispatch to Kwai Tsing.

Asia Port Services (APS)
APS provides container-handling services at buoys in mid-harbour using lighters equipped with derricks. APS also offers empty container storage, container repair and feeder services between ports in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta in southern China.

Hutchison Logistics
Hutchison Logistics is a leading provider of supply chain solutions and logistics services. The company is able to link its customised supply chain solutions to a multi-modal network that encompasses road, rail, sea and air transportation for both inbound and outbound trade.

The Group owns the HUD Group jointly with Swire Pacific. The HUD Group is engaged in towage and salvage services, ship repair, mechanical, electrical and engineering contracting services.

HUD Ship Repair

The HUD Ship Repair dockyard is one of Asia's most modern facilities, equipped with large steel fabrication and heavy engineering workshops and sea walls that can accommodate vessels with a draft of up to 12.5 metres.

Floating dock "United", built in 1995, has a post-Panamax beam with a lifting capacity of 40,000 tonnes, which is capable of undertaking dry-docking, maintenance, repair and survey on all types and sizes of vessel calling Hong Kong. Equipped with travelling cranes of 30 and 70 tonnes capacity respectively and other advanced ship repair infrastructure, repair items can be lifted from the vessel and transported directly to all workshops and other facilities ashore. HUD Harbour Repair also offers round-the-clock routine and emergency repair and maintenance services to all types of vessels at berths, at buoys or at anchor.

HUD Salvage & Towage

Trading as Hongkong Salvage & Towage, HUD's Salvage & Towage Division operates Hong Kong's largest and most modern tug fleet. It has the distinction of being the corporate member of the China Rescue & Salvage Association, as well as the only Hong Kong member of the International Salvage Union.

Salvage & Towage owns and operates 11 tugs totalling 40,800 BHP, with an average age of six years. Services include 24-hour harbour berthing, ocean towage and overseas chartering. The Division can provide tugs up to 4,000 BHP with 56 tonnes bollard pull. A number of the tugs are well-equipped with salvage and fire-fighting capabilities.

Salvage & Towage has designed, built and now operates six specialised waste-transfer container vessels on behalf of the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong Government. The Division has also established an excellent reputation as a new-building design and project management specialist, having completed projects for a number of overseas clients.

HUD Engineering

HUD Engineering provides land-based mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and steelwork services which complement the group's marine engineering expertise. It also provides a wide range of services from plant installation for chemical processing plants, power stations and railways, to the fabrication and erection of steel structures and heavy industrial equipment.

HUD Engineering is also the leader in repairs of electrical motors, generators and transformers in Hong Kong.
