and Hutchison Whampoa Limited (stock code: 0013). Metro Broadcast
currently operates three channels, namely Metro Finance (FM
104), Metro Info (FM 99.7) and Metro Plus (AM 1044).

in live interactive forums of Metro Finance.
Metro Info (FM 99.7 - 102.1)
Metro Broadcast recognizes the growing need for information

2008.

To provide an all round service to the audience, Metro Broadcast
re-launched metroradio.com.hk in 2008 to be the number one
financial and entertainment media portal in Hong Kong. The
portal is well blended with interactive sight and sound providing
latest information for finance, music, entertainment, health,
travel, education and more. Up till now, the portal has already
recruited over 350,000 registered members and many global

on this platform reaching quality customers.
Metro Broadcast has further extended its reach by developing
free Mobile Apps for different Smartphone platforms since
2009. Metro Broadcast is the only local broadcaster with Mobile
Apps for the most popular Smartphone platforms including iPhone,
Android, Window Mobile, Nokia Ovi and Blackberry. As of August
2011, over 500,000 downloads have been made.
A New Era for Radio Broadcasting
The launch of Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) service will
mark a new era in the local broadcasting development and provide
a novel experience for radio listeners. In March 2011, the
Hong Kong SAR government licensed Metro Broadcast to provide
territory-wide, round-the-clock DAB service on a total of
three channels, offering potentially better geographical coverage
with more stable reception and a greater diversity of programmes
with flawless sound quality. In addition, DAB also supports
the transmission of digital images (ancillary visual service)
to the screens of DAB receivers, enabling listeners to view
various information.
Metro Broadcast plans to roll out three new channels in
separate phases, starting with the launch of "Metro Finance
Digital" channel in 2012, hence making it the first and
only Hong Kong commercial radio broadcaster providing AM,
FM and DAB services.
